The branding confusion that is intel
The branding confusion that is intel
Don't get me wrong, I very much admire what intel has done post P4 era in terms of processors and chipsets, but they went overboard in branding recently. There are codenames for processors and chipsets, real names and THEN we have intel brand names. I get so confused when reading articles as to what is being talked about ... I find this wiki page very useful:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_codenames
The only downside is that this list is not chronological. If time permits I am going to submit a chronological version to wikipedia.

I think " notebookatronic is a little long, but I like the "mobile" one. It seems to make it easier for some of these people who no absolutely nothing about computers. ( and what thry are made of.)

Re: The branding confusion that is intel
That's really nuts. I'm sure it's entertaining for people working at Intel, but for use consumers it's worse than useless.gator wrote:Don't get me wrong, I very much admire what intel has done post P4 era in terms of processors and chipsets, but they went overboard in branding recently.
