T42 1.7 processor on a T41 1.5

My question i quite simple, can i put the processor (1.7) from my T42 onto a T41 that was a 1.5GHz ? The machine types are the following
T42 2373-W5U
T41 2373-2GG
Is this an easy operation ?

To find the answer to your question, I most politely suggest the following approach (which you will absolutely benefit from learning yourself, on the longer perspective):

1) Go to the forum.thinkpad.com Search function,

2) In the "Search for Keywords" field, enter: "T41 cpu upgrade",

3) Select "Search for all terms",

4) Select "Forum = T4x Series",

5) Press "Search",

6) Enjoy reading!

Yes you can. I've also upgraded from PM 1.4 Banias to PM 1.7 Dothan in my T41. It's quite simple.

T42 1.7 processor on a T41 1.5
