Are the X40 and X41 cases identical?

Hi, I've just bought an X41 from ebay with the bottom of the case cracked. It looks like a new case from lenovo will be quite expensive, so i thought i'd get a spare/repairs x41 and salvage the case. From what I can see, the X40 shares the same case, does anyone know if they are identical and can just be swapped in and out?

at least 1 thing that will be different is the finger print reader. i doubt it would stop the swap.
