IBM ThinkPad 760ED / 2 pics

#1 Post by PiZzA EnGiNeEr » Mon Mar 10, 2008 8:13 pm

Found this ThinkPad 760ED 9546-U9A at a job site about to be recycled and grabbed it- looks complete and suprisingly in very good condition. I love the flip up keyboard and overall design of it, very sturdy and expandable. Waiting to get an AC for it off eBay to see if it works.

Those computers are tanks. They're also a dream to work on and service. My favorite thing about the 760 was that everything was modular and any component could be replaced. They also had pretty good batteries and the screens were top notch. However, the keyboard was total crap. I used to have a 760ED as my daily driver several years ago. Just be careful with the laptop if you ever use it on your lap as those things get really hot.
