T60: strange USB behaviour just with one device

#1 Post by k0NRaD » Thu Mar 13, 2008 5:05 am

I own a 2007 fxg t60 laptop and i have noticed this strange behavior with the usb port on the left (the one near PC card slot). The behavior occurs with just one device, the nano usb dongle of logithech nano mouse vx. The dongle is correctly detected if i use the other two usb ports 100%, but when i plug it in the left usb port, 60% it is an unknown device. I have always used the left usb port and im using it right now with a mice (not that one). I have tried to test the left usb port with: two usb hard disks, two usb memory key, two usb to serial adapters, two usb wired mices. All detrected 100% all the times. im wondering why the logitech dongle has such a strange behaviour. PS: i did my tests in windows xp and linux with the same results (all devices works 100% but not the logithech nano dongle.
im concerned...

It seems forum members were having problems with their Logitech mouse's a while ago when connected the T6x USB ports - have a look at this Post:

I'm the author of the 'other' post Peak2Peak referenced. Would you mind posting your experience there so it's all in one place? I have someone at Lenovo watching that thread with an L2 team looking in to the matter. The more data they have, the better their chances of finding a solution. Thanks!
