Where are the network drivers?

#1 Post by Deb Suran » Thu Mar 13, 2008 3:26 pm

Hi Folks. I'm upgrading to a T60 and can't get wireless to work. Device manager is telling me that the Ethernet controller driver is not installed, and the hardware installation wizard can't find one. Where can I direct it to for the correct driver, which I assume should be somewhere on the HDD as this is the factory installation? It didn't like any of the folders in the Drivers directory. Thanks.

Deb, the T60 has a physical switch on the front edge for the wireless card. Before you go too far down the driver path, make sure that switch it is turned ON.

Cheers,

the drivers should be in D:\Drivers\ or somewhere there. If you can't find them there (they are probably old anyways) just go to Lenovo.com and get the updated ones for your machine (seeing that you are online now i guess you could do that :) )
Current - Thinkpad T410si - Core i3 330m, 4GB, 250GB 5400RPM, WXGA+, FPR, BT, Camera, DVDRW, Gobi2000, Win7 Pro x32
Past - Thinkpad T410 - T400 - T61 - T60 - T43 - T42 - T41 - T40 - T23 - 600X

Turns out the wireless adapter card was dead, it's being replaced under warranty. Thanks for your help!
