Wireless card not found

Hi, I ca't get the Linksys WLAN identifier to find my WLAN card inside my computer. I have tried 3 cards.. original 2915, replacement intel 2915, and the WLAN card from my compaq. When I put the compaq card in, I got the 1802 error, so I know the card slot is fine... why can't I see my WLAN card or get it to work?
