It has on label FRU 41N5661, made in Phillipines. It does NOT have IBM on it anywhere, so assume that it is third party. I used it in my R51 and it works fine. It is an Ultrabay slim so there is a small gap at the top.

Included with it is a Toshiba MK6025GAS, 60 gb 4200 rpm, also included is a small IBM case with velcroed flap. the velcro is loose in one corner.
