X31 Feet

I'm glad I found this forum - it's an absolute treasure trove of useful information.

I recently picked up a beautiful X31 on eBay (originally got an X40 but found the hard drive to be too slow - the X31 boots up in half the time). IIRC it's a 2005 model but in absolutely immaculate condition - no wear on keyboard, no shinyness around lid, no marks on screen, no reallocated sectors on hard drive, still has protective plastic on the LED area. I'm more amazed because it came from the original owner, so it's not been refurbished; just well looked after. The only flaw I can see is that it's missing all of the rubber feet underneath.

I could probably make some out of sticky-backed rubber but wonder if there is anywhere to buy genuine IBM/Lenovo feet?

Hi CX23882-19, welcome to the forum,

according to the Hardware Maintainance Manual I believe you need FRU 67P1453, (Base Miscellaneous Parts). Although it lists "Rubber Foot" in the singular, it also states "5th Rubber Foot" - My guess is that there are 4 normal feet.
