My old T22 wont fire up properly.

#1 Post by Tony.Yarwood » Mon Mar 17, 2008 10:33 am

Hi guys

Sorry to bother you all with this, but my trustworthy old T22 is playing me up a bit. I'm kinda loathe to just dump it, I find it really useful for going to those out of the way places where it might not be a good idea to be taking expensive gear.

Anyway what's happening is that it wont fire up the first time, sometimes it can be five or six go's before it'll start. It seems to get worse when it's warm, it's nearly impossible to do a restart.

I've got this mad idea that it's easier to start when I turn it on it's side and press on the battery while I hit the start button, but that could just be my delusion! It does the same thing plugged into the mains.

It's got to be hardware somewhere down the line, anybody seen anything similar and know what's going on.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Tony

If it helps, I just replaced the motherboard in my BOD T22 with one from Ebay for $80. Everything works great now, actually some other bugs were fixed also with the replacement of the mobo.

Thanks for that, I've not been able to find one in the UK, including shipping from the US makes them a tad expensive. Been thinking it might be better to put the money towards a T30.

Best regards
