T23 Video adpater not recognized during XP reinstall.

I wish, it was that simple. Video Driver Setup refuses to load any driver. It interrogates XP and XP returns unknown non-plug-in-play adapter message.
I think I may have messed up the HAL as I was palaying around after I interuptd the setup. I will wait a day or so and re-install.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Trouble is that even though the drivers (dll included) are wrong, Windows is convinced that they are right and keeps reinstalling the same wrong ones. What you have to do in this case is, when you udate drivers from Device Manager, instead of allowing Windows to search for your drivers, choose "Search a list of known drivers" and force the right drivers back onto Windows. In the window that comes up next (where there is a list), don't select any of the drivers there...instead, click "Have Disk," and then navigate to where you know are the correct drivers. I hope this works for you. I have gone through this numerous times when I installed the incorrect drivers.
Another way you can deal with this issue is to actually find which drivers are installed for your device (through Device Manager) and go into the Systems or System32 folder and manually delete or rename the driver files. Then reboot your computer which will prompt you for the new drivers.
Either way you do it, once Windows is convinced the wrong drivers are the correct ones, you have to force Windows into accepting the drivers you know are to be the right ones.
