Old ltwbook for T40p?

I can't find any older ltwbook (for T40p) at ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitute/psref/ ...
can anyone help?

You need the tawbook instead.

... see the thread T4X specs - there you will find an explanation about which references contain data about which ThinkPad's.

Note however that the e.g. the tawbook does not contain specifications for all models... so if you don't find what you are looking for there, simply go to www.ibm.com, enter your MT (model/type, e.g. 2373-Q1U) in the upper, right Search-field, hit enter, select the very first hit - and there you have the main specifications.
