resolution changes while closing LCD lid

Hello,

Why does the screen resolution change to 800x600 every time i close the LCD lid?

It did not happen in the very beginning after the purchase, no it happens (almost) every time I close the lid.

What is the cause? How to prevent it? Any clues?

The BIOS update can be solution to your problem:
(Fix) This BIOS contains a workaround of resolution change issue.


BIOS - Thinkpad R60.

It's also a good practice to install latest version of video drivers after BIOS update.
