WPA2 encryption on T42 (Intel 2200BG wireless)

A client has a 3 1/2 year old T42 (2378 DWU) with an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG wireless adapter built in.

I recently installed a Linksys WRT54G wireless router for her, and was able to successfully configure the router as well as the adapter with WPA-PSK/AES encryption. The operating system is Windows XP SP2.

I would like to implement the stronger WPA2 encryption. I've found this software update

which is described as "Intel PRO 2200bg, 2915abg, 3945bg, 3945abg, 4965ag, and 4965agn Mini PCI adapter wireless software for Windows XP, 2000 - ThinkPad" and would like to know whether upgrading to this software will allow for the use of WPA2 encryption?

Hi,

I have Intel 2915 abg and works perfect witn WPA2 with my Linksys WRT54-GC.All you need is: KB893357 to XP.
