Standby on closing lid only when using battery power

#1 Post by Estrogen Kid » Thu Mar 20, 2008 8:51 am

Is there any way to make my Thinkpad standby on closing the lid only when on battery power and not AC? I've only encountered this feature on Linux and not Windows. I know there's the Control Panel > Power Options, but that doesn't let me do what I want.

Don't know about XP anymore, but in Vista's power options you can set the lid close action (e.g., sleep, hibernate, shut down) differently for battery and AC.
