Hotkey utility for Vista needed

#1 Post by chris_uvic » Thu Mar 20, 2008 6:34 pm

Hello. I just did a fresh install of Vista on my X41 tablet, and I'm missing the hotkey utility. It should be available from Lenovo's site, but the appropriate document has been "unavailable" for over a week now. ( Follow the Vista hotkey link on this page if you'd like to see for yourself :D )

Does anyone know an alternative location for this file? I believe the filename is 7kvu22ww.exe, unless there was a newer version released. If there is someone who doesn't mind just emailing it to me, that would work well too!

Thanks

I used SharpKeys to remap my right shift key. It doesn't start up as a service unlike the IBM program.

The file is down, it will reappear sometime later at the following address:

Here (right click and save target as)

In the meantime try System Update too, perhaps it can pick it up.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Thanks for that link. Hopefully they'll eventually fix it.

The System Update idea doesn't seem to be doing the job. I used it to install all the needed Vista drivers, and it doesn't seem to know about the hotkey driver.

I did find a solution that seems to be working, though: the Korean version of the driver. So far it seems to be displaying everything in English, and working as it should be. I'm hoping for the best. :D If anyone else needs this driver, it can be found here.
