call Lenovo Help? or Tech support?

I should receive my T61 tomorrow.

I ordered it with XP pro, but now I'd like to get Vista Business.

Calling the usual Lenovo number and selecting "0" for the generic Lenovo responder, I get weak service...and alway with a difficult to comprehend accent.

When I asked if I could get them to send me Vista even if they need to charge me a bit, the lady said "call Microsoft". Gee, thanks.

On the other hand, I hear folks in this forum talk about some great help they received and stuff that they have sent out to them from Lenovo after a productive call.

So what number should I call in Lenovo to get to someone who is a bit more on top of things?

That's involves an entirely new software licence, which Lenovo cannot sell you as you will not have a Vista COA on your Thinkpad.

Whether you like the answer or not, that is basically the only answer they can give you.
