Decent way to use the same peripherals on two computers?

#1 Post by Dancalio » Mon Dec 06, 2004 3:08 am

I really need to get a piece of hardware to help me with my situation.

I frequently need to switch my monitor, keyboard/mouse, and usb devices between my thinkpad and desktop. I also like to take my notebook out and then hook it back up to my external monitor, keyboard, etc with minimal hassle.

The perfect item for me would be something which I could connect all peripherals to and then easily connect that to the computer of my choice. Is there anything available like this?

I'm checking out this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... RK:MEWA:IT

I can't tell if those are usb 2.0 or not. Is that connector a monitor connector? Please excuse the dumb question. And would I be able to hook this up to my thinkpad or desktop at will?

Any other recommendations for my situation?

Thanks,
Daniel
