totally RANDOM Windows Mail crash, cannot find DB

#1 Post by nikemen » Fri Mar 21, 2008 10:39 am

So, everything has been going swimingly lately with my X61t vista system, until this morning.

Of course, I am NOW flying out of town and was going to rely on this system.

I copied over about 10GB of data last night, 3GB to desktop and 7GB to the C:|\ stuff folder I created

This morning, when trying to open Windows Mail, boom, ERROR, cannot find DB, corrupt, xx,ksk43k5k5lkjlkfj codes.

Reboot didin't resolve it. I restarted again and had INBOX and nothing more.

Everything SEEMS to have been recovered in a recovery of folders TREE in the windows Mail application, but WHAT IS THIS? and WHAT is the BEST way to reinstall it.

So, I got some things straightened out, had to restore the DB, which I found in the proper users folders. Reorganized and rebooted. Well, the FILE ALLOCATION popup came up at bootup and boom, it went through the entire process again, saying the DB was corrupt and could not be restored. Not really sure what the heck is going on here.
