T60p Brightness Problem (Pic)

#1 Post by HellDevil2k » Sat Mar 22, 2008 4:36 am

Hello Everybody

First i'm not verry good in englisch but i will give my best in explaining my problem.

I own a Thinkpad T60p and installed the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 OS.
After Installation i updatet it to 10.5.2 with the Kalyway integratet Update.

My ATI FireGL will be fully recognized by OSX. FULL QE/CI!

But The Problem is: When i plug the AC Cable Out: OSX reduces automically the Brightness of the Display to a lower Level. The Left Area of the Display gets Black and the Right Area gets a normally lower Brightness.

On Windows XP or in the BISO i have no such Brightness problems!

I have tried various PowerManagement.bundles but the Problem is still here.

Another mystery ist that i cant set with the "pmset" command the attribute "lessbright" to zero.

I hope someone has a Solution for this Problem or a Idea to find her.

Nice Evening![/img]

MOD EDIT: Picture warning added.

Hi,

this is a common problem on the Thinkpads. I solved it as follows. Press F1 when you turn your thinkpad on to get into the BIOS setup. go into Config / Display, then choose Display Brightness -> High. That way, the screen will remain on full brightness when you unplug your adapter.

If you need any help, just reply again.
