Problem tethering T61 and Moto

Have been having problem getting my Motorola Q 9h phone to tether (usb) to the T61. I installed Active Sync and USB drivers for the phone same as I did on my Sony laptop. All works fine on the Sony but TP gives me "limited or no connectivity".

The phone forum hasn't been much help as we think it is a Thinkpad issue. Sine both machines are running XP all up to date I have to think it is something in particular with the add on software on the TP.

Any suggestions?

Hmm no responses. All my other laptops tether with noi problem but I can't get this T61 to tether with XP or Vista. Is anyone able to tether their Thinkpad to their cell phone?

Are you checking HowardForums.com? There's bound to be someone there that can help you. Unfortunately, I don't tether.

If Access Connections is installed, I would start troubleshooting there. Are you able to connect to the Internet using normal cable/DSL/dial-up?

I know when comparing random PCMCIA pre-paid data cards bought locally for use in China or India, it's about 50/50 as to whether one will work correctly from Vista. (99.9% of them work with XP just fine, however). The other poster is right, you should probably get other in the howardforums if you don't get an answer here.
