I replaced my keyboard on my t61 yesterday and found this sitting freely underneath the keyboard close to the serial port. Any idea where it belongs to?

Must be located on the left edge under the KB.

Thanks. I just put this clip back where you showed in the pciture. But what purpose does this clip serve? It's not even fixed at the position.

The bottom part should act as a clip but probably spread apart. Just bend it back in shape so it will grip the plastic.

I think this piece just keeps the kB from moving as you type.
