winxppro disk from ibm

#1 Post by d lehmann » Mon Dec 06, 2004 12:33 pm

I bought an r40 almost a year ago. I'm amazed at how good their support is. I made an image backup using Trueimage. Despite this I would like to have the physical os disk.
I read somewhere that ibm will send you the winxppro disk within the warranty period.
Does that include the activation code or is it on the present drive?
Could I make a winxppro cd from the drive?
Who must I contact for a cd? By Email?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reponse. I guess the r40 forum isn't as popular as the T forums. I searched all the forums after I posted and came up with some of the answers. You're link was superb.
Thanks a million
