Leopard on Thinkpad T60p (2007WMJ)
Hi everyone,
I try to install Mac OS X Leopard on my T60p.
I use iATKOS v1.0i.
I have some problem with my graphic card (ATI FireGL V5200) et my screen resolution (1600x1200).
I have no transparency and 1024x768 for now.
If anyone have some idea, I will be happy.
Thank you.

no OS X boot
I just tried and install fails: Uphuck 10.4.9 reboots before the installer starts. Kalyway does install but does not boot.
I have Uphuck working correctly on an X60 and the T60p boots fine from an Uphuck install on an USB disk, so I don't know what's not working here.

My problem is to have video acceleration and 1600x1200 resolutions.
For now, I have the choice between "video acceleration and 1024x768 resolutions" and "no video acceleration and 1600x1200 resolutions".
I didn't find the solution to change the resolution to 1600x1200 and still having the graphic acceleration"

Can't try resolution solving
Unfortunately I haven't been able to experiment with this: I solved the "no reboot" problem (that was space in the partition name), but now Leopard simply reboots forever without a single error message.
What did you choose for options when installing?
However, I see the same problem when I try to install on the X60, and that one works well with Uphuck.
I have Kalyway Leo 10.5.1, and the DVD verifies OK, so I think this is not a disk error. I install on an empty HD, should WInblow have been installed previously?

Re: Can't try resolution solving
I choose "AppleSMBIOS.kext netkas" & "EFI Emulation" in the iAktos 1.0i installer.tcoulon wrote:What did you choose for options when installing?

Partly solved (install)
OK, my fault - I selected install options. Without any selection it now works. I'll start looking for display and sound support.

I managed to install "3d acceleration" on my T60p (ATI FireGL V5200).
I used this method : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=19806
The most important thing is to put the device ID (0x71c41002 for my graphic card) in the /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRadeonX1000.kext/Contents/Info.plist immediatly after "IOPCIMatch"

Solved an other way :))
OK, different methods seem to bring results - maybe different versions of the FireGL?
I finally got it working following this post:
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php? ... ntry498527
I had to get the edid data from Windows, guessed the card ID was 71d4 1002, then used the different helpers as indicated and I now have 1680x1050 in all it's glory. System profiler reports QE supported.
Sound is working too. I'd like to find out how to have at least the battery indicator in the menu bar... I don't hope for sleep to work and don't really need it (if I wanted to work under OS X I'd buy a Mac, but as we have Macs at my school it's handy to be able to boot OS X on my laptop).
If only Apple would accept that buying an official license make you legal.......

Yes, I have a FireGL V5200 and looking to your card ID (71d4 1002), you have a v5250 (?)tcoulon wrote:OK, different methods seem to bring results - maybe different versions of the FireGL?
I already try an "ATIinject+EDID" method and after that, my leopard not boot at all ... and i "have to" reinstall everything.tcoulon wrote:I finally got it working following this post:

Is there someone who successfully installed Leopard (Mac OS 10.5) on his T60p with ATI FireGL V5200 (including 1600x1200 resolution) ?
