problem with the latest catalyst drivers

have a t60 with a x1400 mobility card and usually i mod the standard vista drivers for the card to let me install them.

is it just me, or since the 8.3's, when booting into windows or resuming from sleep/standby, the screen blanks and returns to normal about 3 times, everytime..?

i rolled back the graphics card drivers and it didnt do the flickering. anyone with a solution on how to stop the blanking screen?

T60 with X1300 here on Win XP.
I applied the latest ATI Driver 8.442.3 and didn't experience as you described.

Try to increase the settings to the maximum possible (Resolution 1400x1050 and Highest 32-bit).
