x61 will not standby on time

Hey thinkpad forum

I have a thinkpad x61 with XP on it, and i have a problem with the standby function of power manager. When I set it on lets say "5 min then standby" it will not work, the computer simply dont enter standby? Then I found out that the problem occours when the display is turned off? That means that if I set the display not to turn of standby works!! strange...

Does anyone know any solution to this problem?
