Can Bluetooth be added to the 2378-FVU?
Curious if i could add bluetooth to this model myself? i.e. does it have the antenna already in the display? i want to avoid getting a USB bluetooth adapter.

There is a blue tooth chip? in a Toshiba I took apart recently, with antena. I'll check it to see if it is compatible with ThinkPads if you're intersted in both the blue tooth and the antena. You could easily add the antena into the display casing...just go right up the middle between the two other antena leads that are there for the wirelss...don't think it's there to begin with.
To save you some reading in your exact case, the 2378FVU is one of the models that has the antenna pre-installed. All you need to do is purchase the modem/bluetooth daughter card, connect it in place of the existing modem, connect the antenna wire before you screw the card into place and you will be up and running.
The Bluetooth indicator LEDs at the base of the display and the outside of the display are present, but the icon has not been included on the black strip that gives the LEDs a shape, so you won't see when it's active. Since Bluetooth draws a couple watts of battery power, you will want to know when it's active. You can remove the black strip(s) and scratch the plastic from the inside to make the LED visible or you can spring for a new set of strips with the proper indicator. I took the former route because I'm cheap, but it looks kinda crappy.
