Sound problems on Vista X60T

#1 Post by scapp » Wed Mar 26, 2008 9:03 am

I have an X60 Tablet that I recently purchased a new 200GB hard drive for. I installed Vista clean on it and reinstalled all the Thinkvantage tools and software I use. (Except I cant find where to get an install for the Intervideo Virtual drive... anyone know? )

My problem now is that the sound is crackling like crazy. It's very distorted I'd say about 80% of the time. Does anyone else have this problem? Is my x60T not powerful enough to handle vista? Everything else seems to be working ok, i've re-installed the soundmax drivers and no luck. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the programs are typically not downloadable, and must be installed via lenovo rr (at least what Ive seen). BUT, I do notice that there is a lot of software in the swtools folder which may have an installable image.

As for the sound issue, I would hope its a driver issue.
