Why Samsung 216BW flickers while play movies in full-screen

#1 Post by mike20030405 » Thu Mar 27, 2008 1:18 pm

Even just at a bigger size window.

Just bought a Samsung SyncMaster 216BW monitor and hooked up with my T61P. The monitor is great except one issue.

When I play some high quality movies, the screen flickers when I extend the player windows to bigger size until full-screen.

I tried with Nero Showtime, KMP, MPlayer for Windows. Not all players failed, but I have to try each time, because one workes this time doesn't mean it works next time with another movie.

The monitor was detected by computer automatically and set to 1680x1050 in default. The T61P just turned off it's own screen and uses this external monitor.

The monitor was hooked up with T61P via VGA cabel. T61P 14.1'' doesn't come with DVI, so I have no idea with DVI.
My T61P is running windows server 2003 enterprise edition. It plays HD movies perfectly on it's own SXGA+ screen.

I didn't try the CDs included with the monitor, maybe I should give it a try?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

No one has no idea about this issue?
Or just it is too simple a question?

Thanks in advance

Disable Powermizer in Nvidia Control Panel, and let us know how it goes.
