will 27R1880 bluetooth work in T43 (2668-46u)

I just bought 27R1880 bluetooth for my t43, but could not install it. it keep saying that bluetooth was not found on device. what should i do?

tried to install IBM bluetooth III didnt work eather

Was that a driver install problem or a tethering problem? More details please.

i followed these steps:
1)put modem/bluetooth card, connected 2 wire, one antenna, one power.
2)installed new driver for modem, because it was asked by laptop:)
3)no evidence of bluetooth presence. no information about device in hardware list. pc doctor doesnt show it too, thinkvantage doesnt see it too.

installed bluetooth III, didnt work. installed a new software from ibm suggested for t43. it updated ibm buletooth III, but still no luck. in hardware list it show only Bluetooth bus enumerator and thats it. no information on bluetooth radio as it was shown on installation pictures form IBM. spent 8 hours trying to find solution, still no luck. there are some guideline on uk ebay site how to install it, but no luck.

Is the bluetooth radio on? Fn-F5.

Fn+F5 - i can see only Wifi, there is no bluetooth radio sign. I know how it looks like on my friends laptop, but i dont see it on mine. I wanted to take his card and try on mine, but he didnt letm "crash" his laptop.

I am guessing that the BMDC card is bad.

The 27R1880 is a BMDC200B (BMDC-2) card, and it's NOT designed for the T43. Some claim it would work with the T43, but I guess in that case you'll have to download the correct driver.

The newer BMDC-3 card, 39T0026 (aka 39T0022/39T0024), is the only card used in the T43. I don't know the performance increase over the older cards, but it costs only $20 on ebay, if you want to make everything alright.

i tried Bluetooth II drivers and still windows doesnt see any bluetooth installed. i'll try it on my t42 and will write here again. thanks for helping me.
