T41 doesn't boot after Recovery CDs installed on new HDD

I am replacing the (full) 30Gb HDD in my T41 (2373 1FF) by a 100Gb Seagate. I purchased the 39K5996 Recovery CDs (Win XP Pro French), but after installation, my T41 just doesn't reboot, I get a blinking underscore on a black screen. I set the BIOS to first boot the CD, then HDD, and the CD drive is empty. Anything else I must do?
