That is correct. It replaces the existing modem in the CDC slot and provides Bluetooth and a modem.

However, you will still need an antenna. Your model might have an existing Bluetooth antenna or you can buy one and install it or you can use the AUX lead from the wifi adapter.

The Bluetooth icons on the clear plates (front and rear of the LCD) are not there by default and are not actually required. The Bluetooth LED's below the clear plate are there on all T4x's, so if you'd like to see them illuminate, you'll have to change the clear plates. (You can search the T4x section for much more information about this.)

I do not believe so. This is the Bluetooth II module and the T43 was sold with the Bluetooth IV module. While they are physically similar, it may not work. You'll have to do some research to determine if it's worth a shot.
