T60, help me please, please.

#1 Post by sistem » Sat Mar 29, 2008 1:14 pm

Hello, i got a problem, i'l start from the beginning.

I was all happy with my laptop IBM Lenovo T60, when i messed up, something happent i don't know what was it, all i know is that when i turned on my computer the file boot.ini was missing or corrupt, so i started the computer pressed the blue button, went to rescue and recovery and tryed to rollback the laptop to factory state, and guess what it gave error.
So i sended it to a store to repair it, when i went there fetch my computer, it was formated and threre wass nothoing about the thinkpad tools, so now i installed some tools like rescue and recovery, cause i wanted my computer in the real factory state, suprised i was when i tryed it and it said that the recovery to factory state because ot was excluded or turned off or something like that from that software.

So i beg of you Help me, how can i put the computer with the same stuff like when i bought it?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

You should have gotten a restore CD with your laptop. It contains a duplicate of what your hard drive was like when it left the factory. If you boot off that CD, and follow the instructions given, it should reformat your hard drive with the original settings.
