I put my 15" Powerbook next to my 15" T42 and was surprised that the Thinkpads display is brighter than the Powerbooks at their highest settings.
Since the 14" display is not flexview is it also less bright than the 15" flexview display?
14" displays as bright as the 15" flexview?
IIRC from the TAbook, 15" Flexview is 200nits, 14" is 150, so it is brighter than the 14". The difference is slightly noticeable side by side, but a lot of it is the greater viewable angle too.
I like the high contrast of the Macs though, so my desktop gamma is slightly tweaked to match.
