Hi guys,

Well, First, I'd like everyone to know that I have upgraded to 2GB's of DDRII ram, and just yesterday, swapped out the old Yonah chip for a faster one, 2.0GHz.

Im sure this has been mentioned before, but I dont think anyone would blame me for not wanting go wade through 130+ posts to find it. I would like to do two more things to this lappy:

1. Get a better GPU so I can go higher than 1024x768 (even if it involves a new screen)

2. Put a better Wi-Fi chip in here. I have read about the best one (about a year ago) that was featured in the Everex laptops, the Atheros chip. I have heard the range on those is incredible.

ps- while I am at it, can I put a better blue tooth chip in?

pps- does ANYONE have a 2.5" Sata drive (80GB or larger) and/or a core2 duo cpu they either dont want or wanna sell?

Your GPU can handle bigger resolution. You're limited by the screen only.

As far as wifi, you can get a new ABGN Atheros or Intel chip, but the N functionality will be limited unless you can fit an antenna in there.

oOo That makes it a lot more tempting now that its my screen holding me back. I wonder if I could find a good deal on eBay. I read the thread concerning the 3 screens (and 2 widescreens) for my model.

Not sure where I could put the antenna...
