Had my first scare with this X31. When I went to undock by pushing the blue undock button (front left corner of media slice), I got the error as explained in another thread.

OK, so I removed battery from X31,waited an hour, pushed the power button about 10 times, and all was well. Thing is, it kind of scared me. I've done a lot of searching both here and Lenovo's site. No hard and fast answers for the dock/undock procedure.
My question is, how do you guys dock and undock? I waited until all activity had ceased before pushing the blue button, but it still came up with that cryptic message.

Hello,
I only undock my X31 after shutting down.
I know it's possible to do that when the laptop is powered on, but, this way, I'm sure not to do mistakes.
My 2 cents.

Not sure if this applies for a X31, but have you tried the advice in this thread?

Interesting thread, and some of it is relevant to what I'm running into. The Fn+spacebar magnifier just resizes the window smaller like what happens in the thread hart22 found. Pushing the blue button does come up with a message "safe to undock" eventually, but it takes a minute or so for it to happen. I'm using the latest access connections and drivers, and latest bios and embedded controller software.hart22 wrote:Not sure if this applies for a X31, but have you tried the advice in this thread?

Everything else works beautifully, it's just sort of dodgy on the undocking.
