Hi Folks. After trying for several months to get Paragon's HDD management/backup suite to work on my T60s (and a T61), I gave up, asked for and received a refund even though their refund period had expired, so kudos to them. Now I'm trying Acronis.
My backup protocol is to keep multiple identical HDDs and clone the primary drive on a regular basis. My big fear is that I will accidentally overwrite the primary drive. The current crop of cloning software doesn't seem to default to calling the drive you've installed their program on the primary drive. Instead, on the T60 they seem to always consider Drive 0 the primary drive.
With the T60 and a second HDD adapter, what is labeled as Drive 0 or Drive 1 depends on whether or not the machine is booted with the adapter installed. I find this frightening, as these programs all seem to recognize Drive 0 as the primary drive no matter which drive you're currently running from, making a disastrous mistake much, much more likely.
Is there any way to force the T60 to *always* label the drive in the adapter as Drive 1?
