T30 won't stay in standby mode

My T30 will not stay in standby mode if I travel with it in my breifcase.

No matter whether I put it in standby via the function - f4 keys, or by closing the lid. Eventually it will resume from standby, start beeping, and eat up the battery.

Any suggestions?

There is a known issue with the T30s - some setting that wakes the computer up - if you search here you'll find it, I was looking into it when I had a T30 a while back.
