Hi,
I have been trying to source a 7k100 or 7200.1 hard disk for my T43 for a while now, but I am having no luck getting PATA versions of the drives. However, I have noticed that it is possible to get a SATA ultrabay slim hard disk tray.
What I am thinking of doing then is to get an ultrabay slim SATA tray and install either a 7k200, 7200.2 or a SATA version of the 7k100 or 7200.1 and use it as the boot drive, instead of the original hard disk.
Will this be possible?
Thanks
Using SATA Drive in ultrabay slim as primary master
I don't think it has to be primary master to be booted off of. And I don't think you can change it to primary (not that you need to).
