#1 Post by lynnja » Tue Apr 01, 2008 10:10 pm

I bought a T40 Centrino. But in the BIOS it said it was a Pentium II.
It was my understanding Centrino was Pentium M? Please help, not much of a computer guru....

Download and run the latest version of CPU-Z. What does that tell you?

Thanks. I just sent it back to the guy I bought it from to repair the ethernet and AC adapter connection. So, as soon as I get it back, I will run that....too bad I didn't think of it earlier...I just remember seeing Pentium II when in the BIOS and thinking hmmmmmmmm.

Right click on "My Computer and select "Properties". You should find that the processor is a Pentium M. It's the only processor that works with the T40 motherboard.
