file sharing and networking issue

#1 Post by georgeb » Wed Apr 02, 2008 11:35 am

Hello folks

Got a bit of a problem with my network. I have two notebooks both running XP Pro. One has a second hard drive in the expansion slot. I'd like to have that HD be networked so that it is also accessible from the second notebook, how do i set this up?

There seem to be various options for setting up a network on XP and maybe what I've tried hasn't been the right option but I cannot get this sucker to work. Thanks all

This should be a simple matter ... have you reviewed the Windows help? The context menu for this drive should yield a Sharing and Security... menu item, or that tab is accessible via the Properties... tab.
