Blue Screen Need some help before I toss it

#1 Post by liliggyracin » Fri Apr 04, 2008 9:04 am

Ok have an X61 tablet once recieved we formatted the machine. I then installed XP tablet edition and all updates. Then ran all lenovo updates. I have installed Office 2007 proffessional enterprise edition Lotus Notes 7.0 Visio 2003 standard and added it to a Domain. Everything was working fine then all of a sudden blue screens getting all kinds of .dll couldnt be found so I tried to boot into local administrator and kick it from the domain cant do that gives me pagefile memory errors. This is the 4th or 5th time this machine has been rebuilt and have installed programs one at a time and let them run for a week or so and all seems well Im at a loss and quite frankly [censored]. Bad thing is I have 20 some of these and this is the ONLY one that is causing issues. have 3072 megs of ram have tried new docking station new hdd and new tablet and same thing (Might be user but not sure) Any ideas of what to do. If I left something out in my rant just ask and I will update as needed.

You might check the memory to see if you have a bad stick. That's an easy solution, if that's the problem.

ok tried that removed the added stick same thing put the add-on stick in and removed the preloaded mem and same thing. Good guess though. I did do this. I booted into Safemode and removed everything from startup. and it loaded fine. So now it looks like I am chasing a software issue. I will post back with what I find. Feel free to make more suggestions if you think of something

Blue screens

I was having random blue screens which I eventually attributed to Sunbelt's Personal firewall.
I used the microsoft tool to read minidumps to find out the file that was causing the BSOD. It can be found here:

What are your blue screen error messages?
