Have you tried the Battery Reset function in Lenovo Power Manager? If you did and the battery info still doesn't reflect the correct capacity afterwards, then it's obviously defective. It happens.

Sounds like you have one or more bad cells in the pack. Power Manager appears not to recognize this condition unfortunately.
