Choose OS on X30 problem

#1 Post by kcgold » Fri Apr 04, 2008 9:24 pm

While I was trying to copy my data to a new hard drive, my X30 started asking me what OS I wanted. I am given the choice of XP Professional or 2003, but 2003 is not on the machine and you get an error message if you choose it. How do I get the computer to boot up without asking the OS question?

Edit the boot.ini file and set the timeout to zero.

I followed your suggestion, changed the settings in the boot.ini and the problem went away.

Thanks
