Dead 770?

#1 Post by indicium » Wed Apr 09, 2008 6:51 pm

I have a 770ed that won't start. When you turn it on, you can hear the fan or harddrive starting up and the speaker icon flashes then nothing. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Try removing as many components as possible (ie, ram, battery, hard drive), and try to start the machine up between adding each component back seperately.

Also, try hooking it up to an external monitor, and then use the FN + F7 key combination to see if anything appears on the external monitor. (I recommend connecting the external monitor prior to turning on the 770)
