Upgrade BIOS for adifferent TP model?

#1 Post by chilipuca » Wed Apr 09, 2008 11:33 pm

Well... I'm not trying to do that... i'ts a curiosity because...
I have a T20 (not 100% sure)... I upgrade the BIOS assuming I own a T20 (it shown t20 on keyboard) and now the Bios is v1.22 the latest for this model.
But then, somebody said that the truly way to find our real model is searching for it on Lenovo site using the model type on the back of our laptop (2647-8AU un my case), this correspond to a T21, not to a T20....
So, how was possible the Bios upgrade if it is for a different model?
my TP is in fact a T20?
I'm confused.

Evidently the machines are close enough in architecture that flashing BIOS between them is possible. You could always flash the correct BIOS.
