Would anybody happen to know how Thinkpads are partitioned when shipped these days? i.e. I bought a 160gb hdd, so does Lenovo just partition it as one gigantic 160gb partition - service partition?
Just thinking if I need to find a copy of partition magic to chop it up when my T61p arrives...
Default Thinkpad partition sizes?
Re: Default Thinkpad partition sizes?
There will be one large partition and a hidden recovery partition containing an image of the factory setups.Akilae wrote:Would anybody happen to know how Thinkpads are partitioned when shipped these days? i.e. I bought a 160gb hdd, so does Lenovo just partition it as one gigantic 160gb partition - service partition?

If you are getting Windows Vista on your machine you can partition the drive within Vista to suit your needs. No 3rd party program would be necessary.
