What is a fair price for this R50P?

#1 Post by Mr-Pacman » Sat Apr 19, 2008 12:10 am

Here are the specs on it....

Intel Centrino 1.7ghz,
1G ram,
60GB,
DVD-cdrw,
64MB graphics, wireless, bluetooth,
15 inch SXGA(1400*1050)screen

Original UXGA screen was broken and replaced with an SXGA screen. I'm not sure if the replacement is a "flexview" or not.

The seller is asking $260 for this machine. It's in decent cosmetic condition. The 9 cell battery is not holding a great charge and lasts for roughly 1 hour.

Is this a decent deal?

Thanks,
Pacman

There's something wrong with this picture...

Every R50p has 128Mb Fire GL T2 GPU, none has 64Mb.

LCD is likely a FlexView. All R50 units with 15" SXGA+ are FlexViews.

Can you find out the model number??? 18??-???

Sounds like a decent deal but...let's verify what it is first.

I just found out that the motherboard was replaced with a T42 board with a 64meg card on it.

I'm going pass on this deal, as it sounds like a pieced together system
