If it was due to security, which I doubt, all they have to do is get the information from the wireless providers whether it be internet, phone service, or other. Every single wireless device has to be registered before use with the supplier... including such things as your router. This sounds like an invasion of privacy more than anything else. "Da Man" wants to know you better!

I have to agree somewhat...
Now I'm waiting when the !@#$ US will notice that :evil:
