T43 and Radeon x300 full screen video

#1 Post by dorronto » Sat Apr 19, 2008 5:55 pm

What am I doing wrong?

I've re-installed XP Pro SP2 with no problem. Color and resolution is fine. When I want to watch YouTube for example in full screen then I get a wavy choppy video screen. Refreshes every second or so.

I've checked my refresh rate and the Catalyst Control Center (which seems a little overwhelming).

Help. My other T40 w/32mb video is fine. I have 64mg video ram on my sxga+ 14.1 lcd and I have choppy full screen video. Does the same thing with Yahoo full screen videos..............

Thanks,
Ron

PS. dvd viewing in full screen is fine.

Ron,

Do you have the proper drivers for X300 installed?

George, I downloaded them off the Lenovo site. I wonder if there are different ones for the x300?

Hmmm...if you got them of their site, it should be fine...

Regardless, if you don't get this resolved, I can burn you a set of disks for T43 if you don't have them.

Drop me a line when you return...

Have a good rest of the weekend.

I think I figured it out.

I unchecked the Hardware Accelerator in Adobe Flash settings.

Seems to work better............
